After a career teaching in schools, Gill came to work at Christ Church and is now Partnership Development Lead within the Faculty of Education.

In 2016, Gill was awarded the Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition of the outstanding support and mentorship of trainee and newly qualified teachers she gave her during school years. Both the time and a level of commitment Gill showed to training teachers was over and above that normally expected of a teacher’s mentor. The Award was also given in acknowledgement of Gill’s championship of the benefit of working in partnership with Christ Church when she was Assistant Headmistress of a local school.
