During her studies at Christchurch, Kimberly gained work experience as a Culturosity Facilitator, promoting youth development through creative learning. After graduating in September 2018, Kimberley was offered an internship at Surrey Care Association in Leatherhead, helping to develop her administration, communication and events management skills.
Kimberly says, “I have found a passion for working with a team and gained skills in working with local colleges to communicate the importance of young people seeking out opportunities for further development and challenging societal constraints”.
After Kimberly’s one year internship came to an end in August 2019 she took up her current position in October as an Outreach Officer at We Belong, a charity for young migrants. She says “My new role is broadening my knowledge and helping me advocate for young migrants who are subject to the hostile immigration policy by challenging systematic barriers and promoting youth leadership”.
