Sharon graduated last year with a MA in Modern History after completing her undergraduate History degree but says “I don’t feel like I have the ‘normal’ student story”.  

Sharon started her BA with four children, two of which were home schooled and says “juggling work and theirs was tricky. With the support of CCCU staff I finished my course and was more than happy with my results”.

After speaking to one of her tutors, Sharon decided to continue with her studies, enrolling on the MA History course. She describes it as hard, and says it took longer than most due to personal reasons but with the support of her tutors, she finished her degree.

Sharon says “Despite all the stress I would happily do it all again. The environment and all the staff are amazing and without them I would have not been able to finish my MA.

“Overall CCCU is a great university and I am so happy that I chose to study there. The knowledge I was able to gain has benefitted me greatly and I look forward to furthering my career with it”.
