Many of you will have seen naturalist, explorer and presenter Steve Backshall on television.  What you may not know, is that Steve has also been exploring our science labs as a student and is a Christ Church alumnus with an MSc by Research in Biosciences.

Steve says: “I’m not a natural student. I still struggle with stats and chemistry.  I found the whole process so, so hard but, because of that, to come out at the end with my MSc…it’s up there as one of the things I’m most proud of in my life. The fact that I defeated demons to get this MSc makes it a billion times sweeter than my first degree and if I can do it, anyone can!
