A Christ Church alumnus, Chris Hooper, MA in Film Production – 2005, now Head of Marketing at BBC One and IPlayer, has created a video which has gone viral.
Chris’ team and BBC Creative have created marketing campaigns for successful international BBC programmes including Dracula, Peaky Blinders and Killing Eve.
Most recently, to celebrate the Dracula Series, which aired over Christmas, the team unveiled two timelapse billboards that have gone viral. They created a silhouette of Dracula’s face, depicted through a clever play of shadows and stakes, which sees him emerge as a haunting ghost as the light shifts.
“We wanted our campaign to give a fresh take on the classic character, using the campaign line ‘bloody legend’, said Chris.
“We wanted to be playful with the iconic elements of the story and this idea really connected with the audience. We’re pleased it’s had positive media coverage and been shared widely.”
