Help us plant a hedgerow: Queen’s Green Canopy Hedge Planting
March 23, 2022 at 9:00 am
Verena Holmes Building, Canterbury Campus
Come and help us plant more than 400 hedgerow saplings granted to us as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy Project!
The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites everyone from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.
This is an opportunity to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, by planting extensive hedging and establishing a lasting legacy in honour of the Queen’s service, on the Canterbury Christ Church University campus. The hedgerow, which will attract birds and wildlife, will bound our new Verena Holmes building.
This event forms part of our Wilder Campus Diamond Jubilee projects to further enhance our campus environment.
No pre-booking required – simply meet outside Verena Holmes on Wednesday 23 March, 9am – 12pm. Equipment will be provided.
