Iain Hawthorn receiving his award

4 June was a great night for our alumni. Present in their professional capacities as guests at the Department of Enterprise and Employability’s annual networking event Evening on the Terrace, several of them also received Employability Awards.

Best Unitemps Employee went to alumni Vida Koster, BSc (Hons) Applied Criminology/Psychology 2018, while Molly Wright, BA (Hons) RFTV with Media and Communication Studies 2014, received the Student Success Award. Alumnus Josh Heyburn, BSc (Hons) Events Management 2016, received the Alumni Partner Award and Sue Fletcher BA (Hons) Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring 2018, received the Award of Community Organisation of the Year on behalf of SATEDA.

But the accolade of the night belonged to Iain Hawthorn (pictured right receiving the Award from Deputy Vice-Chancellor David Shepherd), MA Management Studies 2002, who won the Vice-Chancellor’s Award, given to an individual who shows outstanding professional and personal support to the University and its students.

Our congratulations to all our winners, and particularly Iain. We are truly proud to be able to work with such outstanding alumni.
