Like many, if not all, of the choirs around the world, Christ Church Gospel Choir found that singing together in a group had to stop because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In March 2020 they had to say a temporary farewell to some of their members and a saddened early farewell to those that were completing their courses at the end of the academic year, but this didn’t stop them from keeping the Choir and the message of the music going.
Gospel Choir decided to move rehearsals online via Livestreams on their Facebook Group and Zoom calls together. Since the beginning of the first lockdown, they have released a number of online videos of themselves singing ‘together’ and, thanks to technology, feel blessed that they can continue to produce music.
Now, they have have opened up their metaphorical doors to alumni and staff to join in their online mission of staying happy and positive through singing, by starting Christ Church Gospel Choir from Home.
If you think that being a part of the Choir is something you’d like to try for the first time, or if you would like to rejoin, then they would love to have you. Join here.
