Hoga Island Marine Station – Reef Restoration Project
Hoga Island Marine Station runs a Reef Restoration Project in the beautiful Coral Triangle in south Sulawesi, Indonesia.
The Station has created a Research Assistant programme for those who are interested in learning about marine conservation and who want a hands-on experience, whether they have studied Marine Biology at university or not.
The programme, which runs for either four or eight weeks, includes some theory about reef ecology, species identification, underwater survey techniques and practical sessions where participants will get to apply the theory while taking part in the Reef Restoration project.
Alumna Virginie Dartigues (PGCE 2007) has been working on the project for some years and is able to offer Christ Church alumni a 10% discount on programme fees.
