A highly active volunteer whilst studying for both her undergraduate and masters courses at Christ Church, Elina has continued to give her time and effort to others in need. 

While working in Lebanon, she helped set up a volunteering programmes in the Shatilla Refugee Camp.  These provided English lessons to traumatised children aged between 4 and 6 and Pilates and Aerobics lessons to girls aged 12 – 15 who were restricted from joining sports classes for religious and cultural reasons.  After spending seven months working in Australia undertaking social research, Elina settled in Nicosia, where she currently works as a Teaching Assistant in a Nursery School.
