George Buss

BSc (Hons) Human Biology, 2021

George qualified this year with BSc (Hons) Human Biology and recently found out he has been accepted onto an MSc by Research in Paediatrics at the University of Oxford.

George says: “I will be carrying out my own research proposal, based on an assignment I did in final year, to investigate whether there is a link between myostatin gene length and muscle fibre differentiation, and whether myostatin is an ideal target for genetic therapies.

“I have also been lucky enough to have had my final year thesis at CCCU published. I would like to thank my supervisor, Dr Cornelia Wilson, who allowed me to propose my own project and offered me continual support. Cornelia is a true inspiration, and is the reason I applied to Oxford”.

George’s paper can be downloaded here. We wish George all the very best for the future.
