Josh Bennett

BSc Events Management

Josh says: “When I left the university in 2015, I began working for The Aspinall Foundation, based at Port Lympne Reserve near Folkestone. As part of my role I was Fundraising Officer which included the organisation of fundraising events such as fun runs and gala dinners.”

The follow year, Josh left the Reserve to left to follow his passion for motorsport. He took on a job at Lydden Hill Race Circuit, ultimately working his way up to Event Operations Manager.

At the beginning of 2019, Josh left Lydden Hill and spent a few months doing freelance work, including working at major festivals, including Download, Boardmasters and NASS Festivals. In the latter part of 2019 he began working for KEDA Event Solutions as the Health & Safety, HR and Event Manager. Over recent months the company has grown substantially and there are now multiple business units including KEDA Event Solutions, KEDA Leisure and KEDA Sight which are all owned directly by the newly formed parent company – KEDA Holdings.

In May 2020, Josh was promoted by the board to assume the position of Group Chief Executive with responsibility for overseeing the management, growth and development of all of the business units.

Josh says: “I do eventually see myself returning to motorsport as this is where my passion is but I am content with what I am doing now and will take my time until the right sporting position is available.” He is actively involved in motorsport outside of work and is a fully licenced Motorsport UK Clerk of the Course . This allows him to travel around race circuits in the country including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Lydden Hill and take an active role in the on-the-day management of these events.
