Following completion of his BA and MA in History in 2012, Matt worked as a Project Research Assistant at Christ Church, undertaking quantitative and qualitative research in regards to History students making the transition from secondary to undergraduate education. The role also required project management of the initiative, stakeholder engagement and event management responsibilities.

Reflecting on his studies at Christ Church, Matt says “ CCCU helped me regain – and significantly develop – my confidence and self-belief. It has also instilled a life-long passion for the subject of History ” .

Matt is now working for a new employer, in a more senior position but still within the Higher Education Sector. Matt leads on the delivery of an innovative student-business engagement project, which he says “ is incredibly varied, where I am tasked with leading a small team on delivering student and business engagement strategies, running large-scale events and undertaking project management responsibilities ” .

In addition to this, Matt has also started his own photography business, which he says “ allows for a creative outlet ” .
